During the past 30 years the Southside Voters Education Committee has been actively involved in the Norfolk political arena.
We have provided transportation to the polls for senior citizens and disabled voters. We have provided stamps for absentee-ballot voters. And we have helped educate residents about the voting process.
For more than 20 years we have watched William E. ``Wes'' Swindell Jr. work campaigns for many worthy candidates.
Wes has worked steadfastly in the area of community service in efforts to do what is best for our city.
Wes Swindell has dedicated most of his adult life to helping make Norfolk a great place to live. And he has the best interest of Norfolk in his heart and mind.
It is with great pride and pleasure that the Southside Voters Education Committee endorses William E. ``Wes'' Swindell Jr. for the Norfolk City Council Superward 7 seat in the election.
We hope the voters of Superward 7 elect Wes to serve Norfolk as our chosen representative.
