TESTING? TESTING?

Well, have we built a new weapon and need a testing ground? Libya!

That's where we can do our testing. Reagan has already prepared the minds of this country to accept that decision. No problem. Feed the newspaper a little disinformation and off we go.

I say ``disinformation'' because I don't believe anyone has been to Libya to see this plant that we are led to believe will build chemical weapons.

Gadhafi says the tunnels under construction are part of a project to bring water from desert aquifers to Libya's northern coastal cities.

Why don't we send Warren Christopher to Libya to see what is going on?

Maybe we don't like simple solutions. Maybe we don't want a solution - just a testing ground for a new weapon.
