Lt. Cmdr. James K. Armstrong Sr., U.S. Navy, retired, 78, of Fenwick, W.Va., died April 29, 1996.
Lt. Cmdr. Armstrong was a native of Richwood, W.Va., and had retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of service. He was a Mason and a member of Norfolk Lodge (NU)1.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Hanna Armstrong, and a son, James K. Armstrong Jr., of Norfolk.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, May 3, 1996, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral apartments. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
