Trudy Painter, 66, of Lake View Pointe, passed away April 29, 1996, in Emory University Hospital in Decatur, Ga., after a serious illness of two months.
She retired in 1985 from the Navy Exchange at Little Creek. She also recently retired from Belks in Gainesville, Ga. She was a native of Norfolk.
She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Painter; two daughters, Paula Lawrence, and her husband, Del, of Buford, Ga., Katina Parker, and her husband, Wayne, of San Diego, Calif.; son, Fred Stump, and his wife, Valerie, of Gainesville, Ga.; sister, Ruth Price of Chesapeake; stepchildren, Karen and Chuck Barnes III, and their family of Chesapeake; Steve and Cindy Painter, and their family of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Lenee and Brandon Borowski of Kingsland, Ga., Christian Rasmussen of Orlando, Fla., Kierre, Katherine and Wayne Parker of California, Angela Epps of Virginia, Eugene Stump of Virginia, Emilie and Gaelle Stump of Georgia; great-grandchild, Briannah Borowski; nieces and nephews in Chesapeake; Phyllis Wilson and family; Mary Coghill and family; Herbert Price and family; Hope Terrell and family; and J.K. Price and family.
A funeral will be conducted at 8:30 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Arthur Knauer in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 p.m. until service time at 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, make contributions to Gainesville Lions Club, P.O. Box 567, Gainesville, Ga. 30503 in honor of ``My Lady.''
