Mildred L. Brewer, 70, of the 1900 block of Laigh Circle, died April 29, 1996, in Maryview Hospital.
She was the retired owner and operator of Tommee Tippee Nursery. Mrs. Brewer was a native of Portsmouth and a member of Holy Trinity Church (NU)1, where she was a deaconess. She also served as organist of Holy Trinity Church, Hopewell.
She is survived by her husband, Willie M. Brewer; daughter, Iwanda D. Brewer-Frierson; two brothers, Jeffrey N. Grant and Albert A. Grant; and two grandchildren, Derek B. Frierson and Carmen I. Frierson.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by Elder S. Samuel Bess in Holy Trinity Church (NU)1. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Personal photo
