Master Chief Williams Joseph McKeffery, U.S.N. (Ret.), died April 30, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
He was a veteran of World War II, Korean conflict and Vietnam with 24 years of service to his country. He was a Computer Analyst with UNYSIS. Mr. McKeffery was born in Philadelphia. He was a member of The Church of The Holy Family in Virginia Beach. Mr. McKeffery was a member of the Fleet Reserve and the Swindore Golf Association.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue A. McKeffery of Virginia Beach; a sister, Clare McKeffery Warfield of Valley Forge, Pa.; three brothers, Francis McKeffery of Marlton, N.J., John McKeffery and James McKeffery, both of Philadelphia.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of The Holy Family by Father Richard Mooney. Burial will be at Princess Anne Memorial Park with military honors. A Christian Wake service will be said Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel.
