Rebecca Craig Winton, 76, died May 1, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
She was a retired nurse for a Virginia Beach hospital. She was a native of Castlecomer, County Kilkenny, Ireland. She attended London Bridge Baptist Church. She was a graduate of City Hospital School of Nursing of Belfast, Ireland.
She is survived by her husband, William J. Winton; two sons, Craig Winton of Texas, Kenneth Winton of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Elizabeth Coleman of Texas, Frances Thorpe of Ireland; brother, James Craig of Ireland; six grandchildren, Garath Winton, Meghan Winton, Keith Winton, and Christopher Winton, all of Fort Worth, Texas, Josh Ligon and Jordan Ligon, both of Virginia Beach.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to London Bridge Baptist Church Building Fund. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, is in charge.
