CHARLES N. THOMPSON

Charles Neil ``Tommy'' Thompson, 75, of the 8000 block of Arrowwood Court, died May 1, 1996, at a local hospital.

He retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of faithful service. He also was retired from the civil service. He held memberships and was active in the Fleet Reserve Association, Pearl Harbor Survivors and the USS Tennessee Association BB43.

He was predeceased by his parents, Chelsea and Kathryn Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Marian; a daughter, Faye Jones of Clearwater, Fla.; and three sons, Neil Thompson of Norfolk, Jerry Thompson of Richmond and Terry Thompson of Virginia Beach. He is also survived by two sisters, Betty Curry of Colorado and Margie Markert of Wisconsin; and two brothers, Jimmy Thompson of Florida and Gene Thompson of Nebraska. He is also survived by five grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel on Friday, May 3, 1996, at 2 p.m., with visitation an hour prior at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Evans presiding. Internment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery following the services, with full military honors. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
