Michael ``Mike'' K. Dotson, 37, of the 3500 block of Davies Court, died April 30, 1996, in Sentara Bayside Hospital.
He was a native of West Virginia and a member of Virginia Beach Quaranie Society. He worked as a deputy sheriff for the City of Virginia Beach. Mr. Dotson was a Muslim and an honor guard of the Virginia Beach Sheriff Department.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie F. Dotson of the home; two daughters, Sheneequa C. Dotson and Jamilah M. Dotson of the home; son, Kahlil M. Dotson of the home; father, Bobby Dotson of New York; sister, Theresa Dotson of New York; four brothers, Bobby and Tony Dotson of West Virginia and Peter and James Dotson of New York.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends an hour prior to service at the funeral home.
