Percy Eugene Bly Sr. of the 1100 block of Bells Mill Road died May 1, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mr. Bly, the widower of Alice R. Bly, was self-employed. He was a member and trustee of Greater Bethel A.M.E. Church, Cedar Road, and was involved in the usher board.
Survivors include two daughters, Eunice Bly Johnson of Chesapeake and Ida L. Ferebee of Chesapeake; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Percy E. Bly Jr.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday by the Rev. Herman L. Carrington at Greater Bethel A.M.E. Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing today at 3 p.m. The remains will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. The family will assemble at 1026 Main Creek Road at 11 a.m. for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is in charge.
