WILLIAM J. MCKEFFERY

Retired Master Chief William Joseph McKeffery, U.S. Navy, died April 30, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.

He was a veteran of World War II, Korean conflict and Vietnam with 24 years of service to his country. He was a computer analyst with UNYSIS. Mr. McKeffery was born in Philadelphia, Pa. He was a member of The Church of The Holy Family in Virginia Beach. Mr. McKeffery was a member of the Fleet Reserve and the Swindler Golf Association.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue A. McKeffery of Virginia Beach; a sister, Clare McKeffery Warfield of Valley Forge, Pa.; three brothers, Francis McKeffery of Marlton, N.J., John McKeffery and James McKeffery, both of Philadelphia.

A funeral mass will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday May 4, 1996 at the Church of The Holy Family by Father Richard Mooney. Burial will be at Princess Anne Memorial Park with military honors. A Christian wake service will be said this evening at 6:30 p.m. at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Road Chapel.
