GERREN K. HUNT

Gerren Keith Hunt, 14, of the 2300 block of Green St., departed this life suddenly on April 26, 1996.

Gerren was born Oct. 5, 1981, in Portsmouth. He was the second son of Samuel and Rhonda Hunt. ``Boo-Boo,'' as he was affectionately called, attended Hunt Mapp Middle School.

He leaves in his departure a mother and father, Rhonda N. Hunt and Samuel Hunt; a sister, Arnisha Darcel Hunt; two brothers, David Lamont Hunt and Jovan Y. Blount, all of Portsmouth; maternal grandmother, Dora Mae Blount; paternal grandmother, Mary Blount, both of Portsmouth; four aunts, Mildred Blount and Gloria Jean Horton, both of Portsmouth, Evelyn Smith of Pensacola, Fla., and Thelma Fenton of Indianapolis, Ind.; three uncles, Emmett Blount Jr. of Chesapeake, William Blount of Portsmouth and Tony Hunt of Panama City, Fla. Gerren will also be remembered by a host of cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. today with the Rev. William Hampton officiating in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Chesapeake. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will receive friends at the home of Ms. Mildred Blount, 2317 Green St., Portsmouth. ILLUSTRATION: Personal photo
