Sallie Mae Eason Freuler Workman, 74, of the 500 block of Mulligan Drive, died May 1, 1996, at home.
She was Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her former husband, William H. Freuler.
She is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn Townsend of Virginia Beach and Katy Barnes of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; four sisters, Ruby Weiss, Mary Moore, Dorothy Bland and Dolly Denver; one brother, William Eason Jr.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Church of God in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., at 2 p.m. today with the Rev. Richard Wiliford presiding. Flowers may be sent to the church prior to the service. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
