Ava Holland Moody, 93, died May 3, 1996.
She was born in Holland, Va. and was the widow of William E. Moody. She was a member of Holland Christian Church and Woodmen of the World.
She is survived by three daughters, Marie M. Holland of Chesapeake, Ernestine B. VanBeber of Portsmouth, Elise M. Conklin and her husband, William, of Griffin, Ga.; two sons, William E. Moody Jr. and his wife, Betty, of Dunlap, Tenn., Ernest B. Moody and his wife, Blanch, of Elizabeth City, N.C.; 26 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Holland Cemetery, Holland, Va. The family wil be at Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel today from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
