George R. Doyle, 81, died May 2, 1996. He was a retired planner and estimator at Little Creek Amphibious Base.
Born in Oswego, N.Y., he was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Doris T. Doyle of Norfolk; two sons, George William Doyle and his wife, Joan, and James Riley Doyle and his wife, Mary, all of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. William E. Amon in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, on Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m.
