Virginia Ruth Gibowski, 64, of Virginia Beach, died May 2, 1996, in a Virginia Beach Hospital.
Mrs. Gibowski was a native of Milwaukee, Wisc. She retired from H & R Block after 20 years of service as a manager and instructor. As a member of the American Contract Bridge League, Virginia became a Silver Life Master and Treasurer of Local Unit 146, District 6.
Survivors include her husband, Richard J. Gibowski, who is a retired member of IBEW Union, Local 80; two daughters, Sue R. Vincent and her husband, Lou Vincent, of Chesapeake, Laura D. Gibowski of Durham, N.C.; one son, Steven R. Gibowski and his wife, Vicki, of Pensacola, Fla.; her mother, Alice B. Roessger of Virginia Beach; one brother, Charles Roessger of Milwaukee, Wisc. and four grandchildren, Brian and David Gibowski and Jennifer and Kristin Vincent.
A memorial service will be conducted at 8 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 1996, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, by Chaplain Edward Richardson.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
