SYRMA B. HATZOPOULOS

Syrma B. Hatzopoulos, 93, of the 1900 block of Hunters Trail, died May 1, 1996.

Born in Greece, she was the widow of Theodore J. Hatzopoulos. She was a 72-year member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral and was a member of the senior guild of the church, a charter member of Hellenic Woman's Club and a member of Philoptochos Society.

She is survived by two daughters, Frances H. Petrakos of Westwood, Mass., Bess H. Koutas of Fairfield, Conn.; a brother, Nathaniel Bassil of Yarmouth, Mass.; ten grandchildren, Theodore J. Hatzopoulos and Mark S. Hatzopoulos, both of Norfolk, Sydma E. Hatzopoulos of West Liberty, W. Va., Joseph T. Hatzopoulos Jr. of Burlington, N.C., Frances Love Hatzopoulos of Virginia Beach, Pamela C. Watson of Rye, N.H., Diana F. Petrakos of Brattleboro, Vt., Theodore J. Petrakos of Westwood, Mass., James S. Koutas and Dina E. Koutas, both of Fairfield, Conn.; a great-granddaughter, Sara M. Hatzopoulos of Virginia Beach; 10 nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Joseph Theodore Hatzopoulos.

A funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday by Father Constantine Rogakos in Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A Trisagion service will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, today at 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 7220 Granby St., Norfolk 23505.
