FLOYD L. BONEY

Floyd L. Boney departed this life Wednesday, May 1, 1996. He was born in Wallace, N.C., and was retired from the Norfolk City Schools.

He was a member of Miles Memorial United Methodist Church, the Men's Class, and had served on the official board.

He is survived by a daughter, Shirley Miller and her husband, Cromer, of Norfolk; two sisters, Idawese Hanchey and Kate Thompson of Wallace, N.C.; grandchildren, Wes Miller and his wife, Liz, of Wilmington, N.C., and Shelley Krauss and her husband, Ed, of Sicklerville, N.J.; and great-grandchildren, Krista, Kimberly and Daniel Miller, and a newborn, Jessica Krauss.

A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at Rosewood Memorial Park with the Rev. Morris Bennett presiding. The family will be at 9528 Densmore Place. Memorial donations may be made to Miles Memorial UMC, 9450 Granby St., Norfolk, 23503, or to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 12468, Norfolk, 23502. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
