Mary Luella Shank, 70, of Larchmont, died May 3, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
She was a native of Broughton, Ill., and the widow of James E. Shank. She was a member of Larchmont United Methodist Church, and she was a U.S. Naval veteran of World War II.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan S. Cobb of Chesapeake, Kathy S. Laser and her husband, Scott, of Virginia Beach; sister, Betty Breeze of Mount Vernon, Ind.; four grandchildren, Braden Cobb, John Cobb IV, Jared Laser, and Zachary Laser; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday by Dr. Jerry O. Campbell and the Rev. Lewis Morgan in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 7 p.m. Contributions may be made to the M.S. Society or to the American Heart Association.
