Five large corrugated plastic campaign signs for School Board candidate Nancy D. Guy were torn down overnight Friday.
The 4- by 8-foot signs, mounted on wooden posts, were down when Guy's husband, Richard Guy, began checking early Saturday morning.
Richard Guy said he was confident the signs had not blown over because they had all been reinforced in the last two days. He also said the signs appeared to have been moved away from where they were posted.
While several candidates have reported problems with smaller signs being torn down in the final weeks of the campaign, Nancy Guy, who is running in the Lynnhaven borough, is the only School Board candidate with large, mounted signs to report such a problem.
In at least two locations, other large and small signs were left standing, while Guy's had been knocked down.
