Franklin Columbus Watson Jr., 53, of the 100 block of Francis St., died Saturday, May 4, 1996, in his home.
Mr. Watson, a native of Portsmouth, was formerly employed at Newport News Shipbuilding & Drydock as a senior designer. He was a member of Cradock United Methodist Church, a member and past governor of Portsmouth Moose Lodge (NU)898, past president of Virginia Moose Association, Churchland Masonic Lodge (NU)276 and Portsmouth Scottish Rites Bodies.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Luce Watson; a daughter, Lisa Marie Watson of Portsmouth; and a brother, Richard M. Watson of Chesapeake.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Portsmouth Moose Lodge (NU)898, 1400 N. George Washington Highway. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
