Deborah Chiles O'Daniel, 74, a retired Norfolk school teacher, died May 4, 1996, in her home.
Mrs. O'Daniel was born in Bradley, S.C. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Young at Heart of Christ United Methodist, past circle leader of the Jean Craig Circle, Bayview Senior Citizens, member and chairperson of the Bayview Civic League, and Women's Auxiliary of Fleet Reserve, Branch (NU)60. She was the wife of the late William Charles O'Daniel.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Gayle Dunaway of Norfolk and Faye O'Daniel Davis and her husband Robert of Chesapeake; and three grandchildren, Todd Wesley May, Dawn Elizabeth May and Tyler Clinton Davis.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
