Henrietta Elizabeth McCoy, 75, of the 1000 block of Burksdale Road, died May 4, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mrs. McCoy was born in Rocky Mount, N.C. and was the widow of Thomas Albert McCoy. She had been a waitress.
Survivors include a son, Roy L. Murden Jr. of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Edward L. Murden of Suffolk and Fredrick L. Murden of Virginia Beach; a stepdaughter, Sheila and Gregory Smith of Kentucky; and two stepgrandchildren, Tommy Smith and Andy Smith, both of Kentucky.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Gerald Webb. Hollomon-Brown Funeral home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Norfolk Professional Fire Fighter Local 68 or American Lung Association.
