R. Edgar Brock, 62, of 1732 Garden Drive, died Monday, May 6, 1996, in his residence.
He was a native and life-long resident of Princess Anne County and Virginia Beach. He was the widower of Christine Stone Brock. He retired last year from the City of Virginia Beach Public Works Department, Highway Division, and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sisters, Geraldine B. Murden and Ruby T. Harris, both of Virginia Beach; nine nephews; and two nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Alton James Brock Sr.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 685 Princess Anne Road, by the Rev. Joseph Brewer. The family will be at the Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Ave. Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m.
