Frances M. Ray, 70, died May 4, 1996.
She was a retired manager for Westwood Cleaners and was a native of Roanoke, Va. She was the widow of John Earl Ray.
She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Adams, Diane Knight, and Darlene Harris, all of Jacksonville; son, Howard ``Butch'' Davis of Chesapeake; three sisters; five brothers; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. Tom Grinder in Holloman-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and also at 717 J. Inlet Quay, Chesapeake, at other times.
