Hans S. Rosenstock, 70, of the 2200 block of Leeward Shore Drive, died Tuesday, May 7, 1996, in a local hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Rosenstock was the owner and operator of the Wooden Nickel. He was born in Germany and came to America in 1936. He enlisted in the 82nd Airborne at the age of 18 and was past president of the 82nd Airborne Association.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Joyce S. Rosenstock; a daughter, Toby Fanney and her husband, Christopher J.; two sons, Mark Rosenstock and his wife, Leslie, Stephen Rosenstock and his wife, Gloria; seven grandchildren; a sister, Frances Weintraub; a brother, Walter Rosenstock.
A chapel service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 1996, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, by Cantor Isaac Danker. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad. Rest in peace, trooper Hans.
