Garland ``Pete'' Bissette, 52, of the 1000 block of Baugher Ave., died Monday May 6, 1996, in Currituck County, N.C.
Mr. Bissette was born in Raleigh, N.C., and was the son of the late Aaron and Missouri Taylor Bissette. He was predeceased by a sister, Sudie Murphy and a brother, Leon Bissette. He was employed by the Ford Motor Company, Norfolk assembly plant. He was a member of Lake Drummond Masonic Lodge (NU)178.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Bissette; two daughters, Catherine Murphy of Lucama, N.C., and Karen Denise Bissette of Chesapeake; a nephew, Gregory Keith Bissette of Chesapeake; four sisters, Alice Voegtly of Princeton, N.C., Anne Cone of Spring Hope, N.C., Faye Rhodes of Newton Grove, N.C., and Dixie Braswell of Pine Level, N.C.; five brothers, O.D. Bissette of Portsmouth, Chester Bissette of Selma, N.C., Seba Bissette of Buffalo, N.Y., Aaron Bissette Jr. of Selma, N.C., and Leamon Bissette of Norfolk; two grandsons, Robert Franklin Allen and William Blake Allen, both of Lucama.
A funeral service with Masonic rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Phillip Parker. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, today from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund of the Lake Drummond Masonic Lodge.
