Great Bridge's Mike Cuddyer is one of 54 players invited to try out
for the U.S. Junior National Baseball team. The 18 players on the
squad will travel to Cuba for the World Championships on Aug. 8.
Cuddyer, a junior pitcher and infielder, leads South Hampton Roads
with seven home runs and 29 RBIs and is batting .548. As a pitcher,
he is 3-1 with a 1.75 ERA.
