Rebecca D. ``Decca'' Brown, of the 2600 block of Barre St., died May 5, 1996.
She was a retired cook for Morrison's Cafeteria and a native of Norfolk. Mrs. Brown was the widow of Aaron Brown Sr. and a member of New Hope Church of God In Christ, 3232 Brest Ave., Norfolk, where she was a member of the Mother's Board and a Pastor's Aid.
She is survived by four sons, William S. Johnson of Norfolk, Eugene Johnson of Portsmouth, Aaron Brown Jr. of Norfolk, Frank E. Brown of Chesapeake; three sisters, Eunice Johnson of Norfolk, Elizabeth Coleman of Miami, Fla., and Jessie M. Johnson of Norfolk; two brothers, George H.F. Coleman, Willie L. Coleman, both of Portsmouth; 10 grandchildren; and a host of daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives, friends, and two sisters-in-law. She was predeceased by his parents, William H. Johnson and Sarah C. Johnson.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday by Dr. Herman Clark Sr. in New Hope Church of God in Christ. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The body will be placed in the church on Saturday at 11 a.m. Family and friends will assemble at 2608 Barre St., Norfolk, on Saturday at noon for the funeral procession to the church.
