Forrest P. Capps, 49, of the 1000 block of Princess Anne Road, died May 8, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mr. Capps was a sergeant with the Virginia Beach Police Department with 26 years of service and was in charge of the Mounted Patrol. Mr. Capps was born in Norfolk. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Virginia Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Mary ``Kitty'' Capps of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Catherine Page Albert and her husband Eric; and a son, Troy L. Capps; three grandchildren Brittany L. Albert, Kyleigh H. Albert and Alexandria E. T. Albert, all of Knotts Island, N.C.; his mother, Aggie Henley Capps of Virginia Beach; a sister, Pinky C. Grimstead of Virginia Beach; and a brother, Larry W. Capps of Portsmouth.
A church service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Joseph Brewer, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. in H.D.Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel.
