Ruth Lovelace Jones, 88, died May 8, 1996, in Maryview Hospital.
She was born in Pittsylvania County, Va., and was the widow of Harry W. Jones Sr. She was a member of Berea Congregational Christian Church. She was a former teacher at Driver Elementary School.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, H. Woodward Jones Jr. and Marie F. Jones of Suffolk; granddaughter, Carla L. Jones of Suffolk; and several nieces and nephews of Suffolk and Danville, Va.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. J. Robert Bennett and M. Webster Maughan in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Berea Congregational Christian Church, 4109 Driver Lane, Suffolk, Va. 23435. The family will receive friends in the residence, 4474 Driver Lane in Suffolk.
