CAMMIE W. PATTERSON

Cammie W. Patterson, of the 1800 block of Hoover Ave., died May 7, 1996, in a local hospital.

She was a native of Roper, N.C., and the widow of Archie D. Patterson. She was a member of St. Joseph A.M.E. Zion Church, Chesapeake.

She is survived by three daughters, Helen Winfield of Chesapeake, Mary Dandridge of Norfolk, Nancy S. Branch of Norfolk; six sons, James A. Patterson of New York City, Theodore R. Patterson of Norfolk, Augustus Patterson, Robert Patterson, Felton Patterson, all of Chesapeake, and Eddie L. Patterson of Virginia Beach; 36 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; five daughters-in-law; a son-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her mother, Nancy Lumford.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday by Rev. C.A. Eason in St. Joseph AME Zion Church, 1540 Atlantic Ave., Chesapeake. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Metropolitan Funeral Service is in charge. The body will be placed in the church at noon on Monday. Family and friends will assemble at 1820 Hoover Ave., Chesapeake, on Monday at 12:15 for the funeral procession to the church.
