RUBY L. JACOBS

Ruby L. ``Sis'' Jacobs, 84, of the 32000 block of Brookside Drive, died May 8, 1996, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

She was a retired domestic after more than 15 years. She was a native of Southampton County. She was a member of Rising Star Baptist Church, Branchville, Va. 23828, where she was a member of the senior usher board, senior choir, Sunday school, served as a deaconess aide, member of the missionary circle, and a pastor's aide. She was also a Farmers Friend.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Jacobs; two daughters, Mary Shirley Cunningham, Barbara Ann Person; son, Billy Wayne Jacobs; two sisters, Ella Mae Grant and Beulah Pope; sister-in-law, Mary Louise Lundy; brother, Robert Pope; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and special friend, Mrs. Ruth Faison.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday by Rev. Willie Dickerson in Rising Star Baptist Church, Branchville, Va. 23828. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Engram Funeral Home Inc., Courtland, is in charge.
