Regarding the editorial about ``Take Our Daughters to Work Day''(``Stay in school,'' April 26): I agree that sons should also be able to accompany their parents to work.
I am a teacher, and I was fortunate enough to be able to bring my son to work with me in a predominantly female faculty.
The world needs good teachers; furthermore, a good teacher can touch a child's life significantly.
If my son chose to be a teacher, I would certainly like to feel that ``Take Your Daughter or Son to Work Day'' was a positive factor influencing his decision.
School is not in session during the summer; therefore, taking my son to work during his summer vacation, as your editorial suggested, is not an option.
Furthermore, if my son chose teaching as his profession, I would feel that he thought school was important and that the one day of instruction he missed was indeed worthwhile!
