Doris Battle, 80, of the 2200 block of Charleston Ave., died May 10, 1996, at Maryview Hospital.
Mrs. Battle, a native of Portsmouth, was a member of Third Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles T. Battle; five daughters, Marcia Williams, Peggy Johnson, Yvonne Perry, Mitchelle Hunter, Shelia Battle; two sons, William Alexander and Thomas Battle; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming at Third Baptist Church, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.
