Marc Kerry Kidney, 39, of the 700 block of Lobdell Court, died Friday, May 10, 1996 in Chesapeake.
Mr. Kidney was born in Mobile, Ala., and was the son of Ruth Faircloth Sikes, also of Mobile, and the late Francis Kidney. Mr. Kidney was a partner in JEMM Industries, a successful 5-year-old sandblasting and coating company located in Chesapeake. He had also been very active for eight years with the Virginia Emergency Family Care Program (VEFC), a program that helps children in times of crisis on an emergency basis.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his former wife, Pamela Kidney; his daughter, Amanda Kidney; and his two sons, Marc Kidney and Joshua Kidney, all of Chesapeake; four sisters, Margot Carroll, Becky Bert, Phyllis Jones and Kellee O'Berry, all of Mobile, Ala.; and his brother, Norman Williams of Adrian, Mich. Other loved ones include Herb Nelson, Cindy and David Oliver, Robin Bean, Virginia Nelson and Debbie Rowe, as well as many other loving and caring friends.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
