Donald Lea Capps, 55, of the 1900 block of Sydenham Trail, died May 11, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Capps was born in Norfolk and was of the Christian faith. He was retired from Navy Public Works as a chemical plant foreman. He was a Marine Corps veteran and was active during the Bay of Pigs.
Survivors include a daughter, Tracy Capps Bryan of Knotts Island, N.C.; his mother, Mildred Capps of Carrsville; two sisters, Barbara Long of Shiloh, N.C., and Sandra Poe of Carrsville; a brother, Eugene P. Capps of Carrsville; and a grandchild, Kasey Suzanne Bryan.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, by the Rev. Jack Sauls. Burial will be private. The family will be at 1900 Sydenham Trail, Virginia Beach, following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
