LEE SUNDSTROM

Gerald Lee Sundstrom Jr., 38, of the 2300 block of Virginia Road, died Saturday, May 11, 1996, as the result of an airplane crash.

Mr. Sundstrom was a native of Virginia Beach. He was the owner and operator of Farmer's Air Service, based in Edenton, and was an air tanker pilot with the North Carolina Forestry Service, based in Kinston. He was a member of Ballard's Bridge Baptist Church where he was a member of the choir and formerly had taught Sunday School. He was a member of the Oak Grove Hunting Club.

Surviving are his parents, Gerald Lee Sr. and Mrs. Peggy Copeland Sundstrom of Virginia Beach; one brother, John E. Sundstrom, and his wife, Cheryl, of Chesapeake; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Kenneth (Louise) Copeland of Edenton; and two nieces, Amanda Marie Sundstrom and Shelby Lynn Sundstrom.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Ballard's Bridge Baptist Church by the Rev. Lamar Sentell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Ballard's Bridge Baptist Church.
