WHO ENDORSED GRANT? NOT COFAVON

On May 2, a political advertisement by Charles D. Grant, candidate for Norfolk City Council, indicated he had received the endorsement of the Coaliton of Filipino-American Voters of Norfolk (COFAVON). That is an inccurate statement.

The Coalition of Filipino-American Voters of Norfolk is a political-action group whose mission is to inform and educate Filipinos on candidates and issues important to the Filipino community. It does not make political endorsements.

It is our understanding that Mr. Grant, a fine man, received the endorsement of a completely different Filipino organization, the Filipino-American Community Action Group.
