Paul L. Tower, 73, of the 5300 block of Fairfield Blvd., died May 5, 1996, in Norfolk.
Mr. Tower, the widower of Elizabeth Tower, retired from Ciba Geigy Pharmaceutical Co. as a medical research associate. He was a native of Springfield, Mass., and a member of Foundry United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach. He was a member of Greater Metropolitan Pungo String Band, and Cardinal State Harmonical Club of Tidewater. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include two sons, Matt Tower and Douglas Tower, both of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Celia Smith of North Carolina and Janet Hess of Layton, Utah; a brother, Bob Tower of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Warren H. Wilson at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations may be made to the National Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association (ALSA), 21021 Ventura Blvd., Suite 321, Woodland Hills, Calif. 91364.
