Edna Louise Poole Walwyn, 52, of the 100 block of Bristol Ave., died May 10, 1996.
Mrs. Walwyn, a native of Norfolk, was a housewife and a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Walwyn was an honor graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk and a cum laude graduate of Bernard M. Baruch College.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Eugene J. Walwyn; daughter, Eugenia Allen of Bronx, N.Y.; father, Edward Poole of Norfolk; three sisters, Anita Morriston of New York City, Carolyn Hope Young of Norfolk, Sharon E. Brooks of New Orleans; two brothers, Lawrence Poole of New York City and Thomas Poole of Norfolk; grandchild, Mekui Allen of Norfolk; uncle, William Luther Bell of Pennsylvania; two aunts, Edna Ford, Elizabeth Conley, both of Asheville, N.C.; seven nephews; three nieces; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Willie Mae Bell.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by Dr. Robert G. Murray, pastor, in First Baptist Church, 418 Bute St., Norfolk. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, is in charge. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at 128 Bristol Ave. Thursday at 10 a.m. for the funeral procession to the church.
