JOHN P. LAMB

John P. Lamb, of the 1300 block of Little Neck Road, died May 12, 1996.

Mr. Lamb, a native of Princess Anne County, retired from K-9 Country Club after 40 years of service. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Holland Road, Virginia Beach, and involved with the Deacon Board. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge Ruth (NU)92 P.H.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley W. Lamb; a daughter, Rosetta Johnson of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Clara Fentress of Virginia Beach and E. Jaunita Adams of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, Milton Lamb of Boston, Mass.; 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was predeceased by a son, John W. Lamb Sr.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Charles A. Vinson at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at 2294 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach. Community Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel, is in charge.
