John ``Taylor'' Kern, infant son of Scott and Flynn Clarke Kern, died Monday, May 13, 1996, in Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, Norfolk.
He is also survived by a brother, Brandon Scott Kern of Virginia Beach; maternal grandparents, Robert and Rachel Clarke of Bedford, Va.; maternal great-grandmother, Mildred C. Brame of Victoria, Va.; paternal grandparents, John and Barbara Kern of Eagle Rock, Va.; paternal great-grandmother, India L. Kern of Eagle Rock; aunts and uncles, Todd and Sally Kern of Clifton Forge, Va., and Dan and Molly Woods of Smithfield.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Luke's Memorial Park with the Rev. Fred Breeden officiating. The family will receive friends at their residence, 15 Peterson Ave., today and suggests memorial contributions may be made to Camp Virginia Jaycees, Route 1, Box 860, Blue Ridge, Va., 24064 or Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, 601 Children's Lane, Norfolk, Va. 23507. Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, is handling arrangements.
