Annie Beale Crumpler, 86, died May 13, 1996, in her residence.
Mrs. Crumpler, the widow of Henderson Lee Beale Sr. and Frank Allen Crumpler Sr., was a native of Isle of Wight County, Va. She lived in Norfolk for most of her life. She retired from Paul H. Rose Center as a saleslady after 22 years of service. She was a member of Burrows Memorial Baptist Church and president of her Sunday School class.
Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Hudson of Virginia Beach, Joyce Lloyd of Portsmouth, Nellie Weisel of Washington; a son, Henderson L. Beale Jr. of Virginia Beach; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; four stepchildren, John R. Crumpler and Jenice Stevens, both of Virginia Beach, Vernon L. Crumpler of Norfolk, and Frank A. Crumpler Jr. of Chesapeake.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday by Pastor Don Harris, the Rev. Paul Eure, and the Rev. Aubrey Maye, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Burrows Memorial Baptist Church.
