Mary Pfleider Willis, 75, died May 13, 1996, in her residence.
Mrs. Willis, a native of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., was a retired school nurse and teacher in Massachusetts, where she worked for 15 years. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Virginia Beach, and New York University Alumni Association.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Harris L. Willis; two sons, Robert L. Willis and his wife, Carol Ann, of Chesapeake, and John S. Willis of Virginia Beach; a sister, Faye Kellogg of New York; a brother, Max Pfleider of Florida; and two grandchildren, Sarah E. Willis and Jeremiah S. Willis, both of Chesapeake.
A memorial service will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. Thursday by Pastor Terry D. Clark at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends during a dinner at the church following the service. Memorial donations are preferred to Emmanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund, 3900 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, Va. 23452. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, is in charge.
