Stella Dean Creef, 74, of the 200 block of E. McGinnis Circle, died May 14, 1996, at the residence.
The daughter of the late Leslie and Dile Meekins Gallop, she was born in Wanchese, N.C. Mrs. Creef was a member of Bethany Methodist Church, Wanchese. She loved to play Bingo.
She is survived by her husband, Freddie Lee Creef; a daughter, Sheila Overfelt and her husband, Joe Ben of Virginia Beach; three sons, Joseph Berry, John and Debbie Davis of Virginia Beach, Leslie Garry John and his wife, Debbie, and Freddie D. Creef and his wife, Debbie, both of Norfolk; a stepson, Charlie Boy Creef of Florida; a sister, Theresa Danials; a brother, William ``Bill'' Gallop, both of Wanchese; and nine grandchildren, Tammie L. Cook, Cammi D. Collins, William Bill John, Leslie R. Strangways, Shel John, all of Virginia Beach, Randy John, Perri John, Bubba John, Hunter Dean Creef, all of Norfolk; and six great-grandchildren, Christian and Tiffany Horton, Amanda Rae Collins, Barri Marie and Alexander Strangways, Sheila Joe Cook, all of Virginia Beach; a host of loved nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. Her family was her life and she loved them very much.
The family will receive friends for a visitation in the Twiford Ghent Chapel, Norfolk, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in Bethany Methodist Church, Wanchese, by the Rev. Billy Holliday and Charles Etheridge.
