Pete D. Spatafore, 72, of the 1100 block of Melvin Drive, died May 12, 1996, in his residence.
He was a native of San Francisco, Calif., and was the widower of Dorothy Ann Milteer Spatafore. He was a former professional baseball player for the Portsmouth Cubs, retired from Davenport and Lewis Chevrolet, and was also a retired cabinetmaker. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by two brothers, Robert A. Spatafore of San Manteo, Calif., Anthony J. Spatafore of Sacramento, Calif.; three nieces and two nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
