Bertie Marie Boodt, 68, of the 2400 block of Chesapeake Court, died May 15, 1996.
She was the retired store manager for the Navy Exchange and a native of South Norfolk, Va. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Chesapeake.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary I. Exell and Deborah M. Riley, both of Chesapeake; a son, Howard C. Boodt Jr. of Chesapeake; two sisters, Beatrice Hall of Chesapeake, and Ida Pate of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers, Ivey R. Casper of Chesapeake, and the Rev. Frank W. Casper of Concord, Va.; three grandsons; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Willis Switzer and the Rev. Willis Dowling in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, today from 7 to 8 p.m. and at 4102 Bernard St., Chesapeake, at all other times.
