Clinton Railey Futrell, died May 6, 1996, in Southampton General Hospital, Franklin, of natural causes.
He was a retired self-employed painter and a native of Hertford County, N.C. He was the widower of Geneva Futrell and a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, Woodland. He was a Mason.
He is survived by three daughters, Elsie Vinson of Woodland, Beulah Earley of Norfolk, and Gladys M. Mitchell of Englewood, N.J.; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral was conducted Saturday by the Rev. W.R. Ashe in Jerusalem Baptist Church, Woodland. Burial was in Jerusalem Church Cemetery. Reynolds Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
