SYLVIA V. MCDANIELS

Sylvia V. McDaniels, of the 200 block of Dexter St. East, died May 14, 1996.

She was a native of Norfolk County and a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church, where she was on the senior choir, usher board, and was a former Sunday school teacher. She was also a past matron and secretary for the Blooming Light (NU)3 OES/PHA of Virginia. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by a son, Roland McDaniels Jr. of Seattle, Wash.; five sisters, Mrs. Miriam W. Lee, Mrs. Rosa W. Coleman and Miss Vivian A. White, all of Norfolk, Mrs. Patsy W. Young, and Mrs. Casteen Rodger of Chesapeake; and her brother, Robert White Jr. of New York City.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Mount Gilead Baptist Church. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family and friends will assemble on Friday at 983 Albert Ave., at noon where they will be receiving friends. Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
